Every year, our local Community Spouses Club hosts a special bazaar called the Holly Days Bazaar. Area craftsmen, artists and more come and sell their creations at this annual event.
I was kind of partial to the awesome wood carvings!
There was just about anything you could think of, from art to marshmallow guns. Pottery to furs.
Face-painting and balloons!
How about modeling a new scarf?
Or sampling some spiced nuts?
The Community Spouses Club is a social club with a purpose. All of the funds raised at the bazaar, as well as other events throughout the year, are used to go towards scholarships and grants in the military community. It’s also a lot of fun, with all sorts of activities throughout the year.
At the Holly Days Bazaar, they also open up the lobby area for unit FRGs (Family Readiness Groups) to hold fundraisers.
The hot pretzel-wrapped bratwurst were especially good. I had one for breakfast while I was there volunteering.
Then I enjoyed a ridiculously rich and yummy peanut butter & chocolate cupcake from these lovely ladies.
My daughter even came to do a little shopping.
