PCS 2013: Our New Home

After travelling thousands of miles, our next task was to find a place to live. This is probably one of the most stressful parts of PCSing. Searching for your new home, in a place you don’t yet know. After countless phone calls, and searches and “No, that house is already rented” or “No, we don’t allow pets” – I called the housing office on post at Redstone, to see if by any chance there was a short waitlist for housing. And guess what? There was a house available now!!!  A long-time friend of ours, who happens to live at Redstone Arsenal drove by and took a snapshot of our new house.

This weekend we’ll head down there, find our way around Huntsville – take a look at the house, and Monday it will be ours! And then….the movers, and praying everything made it safe and sound.

Hi there, I'm still reading your posts but at the tail end of your journey to AL, I wanted to comment. Thank you so very much for sharing your pictures of your trip! They were just beautiful to look at. I may never get to travel that way, so it was a special treat to see them. Thank you!
